salon was founded in 1990, by Mr. Sompob Inka. Supported by the Board of Investment of Thailand, for tax exemption, Mr. Sompob opened his factory on Saen Suk Industrial Estate, in Prawet, on the outskirts of Bangkok. The factory now has a working area, in excess of 6,000 square metres, and the company employs over 370 skilled workers and administration staff. Since the very beginning of operations Asalon has concentrated on export, and currently over 92% of manufacture is shipped overseas.

In 2006 the company was restructured with a management buy-out after Mr. Sompob sadly passed away. Now the business has refocused its mission to provide the best quality products at the best possible prices. This with the goal of producing orders faster and better quality then all our competitors means that Asalon is again becoming a world leading company.

Long time residents of Thailand Matthew Slater (CEO) and Matthew Hindmarch (Executive VP), both from the north of England, have over 40 years combined business experience.
